The Inim ED100 Optical Smoke Detector is a high-performance conventional smoke detector designed to deliver fast and accurate early fire detection using advanced optical sensing technology. Based on the Tyndall effect (light scattering), the ED100 detects a wide spectrum of smoke particles produced by various fire types, including smouldering and slow-burning fires. Its high immunity to false alarms and configurable sensitivity make it suitable for a broad range of environments, from residential buildings to commercial and industrial facilities.

The ED100 is equipped with a newly designed optical chamber featuring a sealed upper section and a precision-engineered 500 μm mesh insect screen. This construction prevents dust and insects from entering the chamber, significantly reducing the risk of false alarms while maintaining optimal sensitivity.
